I've lived my whole life in the Hudson Valley region of New York. Its a great area, about an hour north of NYC and where you'd find SkyScrapers dotting the East Side Highway in Manhatten, you're more likely to find mountains, streams and hiking trails here. We're not terribly rural mind you but we are blessed with some of the most scenic outdoor parks and views in the country.
Unfortunately the wildlife that is so prevelant around us presents a bit of a health risk. While we don't face the dangers of rattlesnakes or scorpions, the White Tail Deer that populate the woods in our area carry a little known threat: Deer Ticks. And with those ticks come Lyme's Disease.
